I’m a happily married, 30 something engineer living in Ames, Iowa, looking for work and crafting. I knit, crochet, make cards, and now sew. I’m always on the look out for new things to try.  It seems we are finally settled after years of moving.  From Ames, IA to Berkeley, CA to Austin, TX to Highland Park, NJ and  back to Ames, IA it has been quite a journey.

Why Stellar Babble?

Back in high school when my last name was Zelle, my wonderful friends Neha and Suruchi would call me Stellar on occasion. I also had a lot of nicknames that started with P because my initials were SEZ, but that’s a different story.

When casting around for a web name, I thought it would be fun to use my initials and that old nickname. Babble seemed appropriate for my rambling monologue.

  1. Hi, Sarah! This is Aviva from the Metuchen Twisted Stitchers Knitting Group. I wasn’t a weekly participant, but I remember you fondly. Glad to see you are settled in Iowa. I *just* found your blog through ravelry, and I was pleasantly surprised to have stumbled upon it. Today is the first cold day in NJ in a while, and I imagine it’s much colder where you are already. I work in Newark now at a fine art handling company. I have a lot of down time, so during that time, I’ve been compiling a lengthy digital library of pdf knitting patterns, to eventually one day print out and insert in a binder. I’ve recently finished my first knitted purse and am now working on a square-neck pullover. What sorts of projects are you working on presently? I wish you all the best and hope you and your husband enjoy the holidays & stay warm! 🙂
